Sacred sexuality is a very ancient and profound tradition hidden in every great religion. Yet, because it was long kept secret in order to preserve it intact, most people scarecely suspect its existence, much less accept the fact that many of the greatest human beings were elevated by it, people such as Jesus, Buddha, Krishna, Shakespeare, Thoreau, Milarepa, and many more. Take your time here. This science is not easy to learn or master, but with effort and patience it can revolutionize your life.

The common definition: abstention from sexual relations. abstention by vow from marriage: the celibacy of priests. the state of being unmarried. Etymology: 1663, formed in Eng. from L. cælibatus "state of being unmarried," from cælebs "unmarried," from PIE base *kaiwelo- "alone" + lib(h)s- "living." Celibate first recorded 1829. - Online Etymology Dictionary In the esoteric tradition, it is known that there are two forms of celibacy. Lunar Solar Solar is a positive type of sexual life, inwhich an individual refrains from sexual union and masturbation, replacing them with spiritual exercises that transmute the sexual matter. Unfortunately, many modern groups have abandoned these types of exercies, so that their...

Chastity: "virtuous, pure from unlawful sexual intercourse," from O.Fr. chaste "morally pure," from L. castus "pure, chaste." Although modern usage has rendered this term virtually meaningless to most people, it's original meaning and usage clearly indicate "moral purity" upon the basis of "sexual purity." Contemporary usage implies "repression" or "abstinence," which have nothing to do with real chastity. True chastity is a rejection of impure sexuality. True chastity is pure sexuality, or the activity of sex in harmony with our true nature, as explained in the secret doctrine. Properly used, the word chastity refers to sexual fidelity or honor. The generative energy, which, when we are loose, dissipates and makes us unclean, when we are continent invigorates and inspires us. Chastity is the flowering of man; and what are called Genius, Heroism, Holiness, and the...

Here are some interesting quotes from the 14th Dalai Lama regarding sex as taught and understood in the context of Tantric Buddhism. “Being able to have sexual contact without releasing semen is something needed when you practice the advanced stages of the complete stage." - The 14th Dalai Lama (Berzin Archives) ••• "For Buddhists, sexual intercourse can be used in the spiritual path because it causes a strong focusing on consciousness if the practitioner has firm compassion and wisdom. Its purpose is to manifest and prolong deeper levels of mind (described earlier with respect to the process of dying), in order to put their power to use in strengthening the realization of the emptiness. Otherwise, mere intercourse has nothing to do with spiritual cultivation. When a person has achieved a high level of practice in motivation and wisdom, then even the joining of the two sex organs or so-called...

Originally, the term fornication was derived from the Indo-European word gwher. The study of this root word and its many branches reveals the meanings of volumes of religious symbols. Etymology of Fornication Originated from: gwher-, meaning "To heat, warm." Derivatives include brand, brandy, forceps, and fornicate. Zero-grade form *gwhr-. a. burn, from Old English beornan, byrnanbærnan (transitive), to burn; b. brimstone, from late Old English brynstn, “burning mineral,” sulfur (stn, stone; see stei-); c. brindled, from Old Norse brenna, to burn. a–c all...

Many believe the Hua Hu Jing (fourth century BC) was written by Lao Tzu. Although its authorship is contested, the contents of this book are remarkable. Here is a quote: Sixty-Five The interplay of yin and yang within the womb of the Mysterious Mother creates the expansion and contraction of nature. Although the entire universe is created out of this reproductive dance, it is but a tiny portion of her being. Her heart is the Universal Heart, and her mind the Universal Mind. The reproductive function is also a part of human beings. Because yin and yang are not complete within us as individuals, we pair up to integrate them and bring forth new life. Although most people spend their entire lives following this biological impulse, it is only a tiny portion of our beings as well. If we remain obsessed with seeds and eggs, we are married to the fertile reproductive valley of the...

We are sexual creatures: made by sex, sustained by sex - and if we are foolish - destroyed by sex. What we are now is a result of sex. What we will be depends upon our use of sex. Our relationship to sex shows us who we truly are inside. Sex is a mirror into our soul. Let us peer into the basis of all life - sexuality - and discover who we truly are, and what we can become. For the first time in history, you can now learn the esoteric knowledge that was long protected by the purest souls, repressed by the power-mad, and rejected by the degenerates. There is a precise science of sexual health and fulfillment, and anyone - from any religion, culture, or creed - can enter into the path towards upright, natural, and sacred sexuality. This knowledge is free for anyone and everyone, requires no membership...

The fundamental premise of both Alchemy and Tantra is the transformation of energy. If one considers that the foundation of the spiritual work is to achieve a transformation of one's own "psyche" or soul, it then becomes evident that this foundation is elaborated within alchemical and tantric works. In reality, tantra and alchemy are the same exact thing. The most potent transformation of a system occurs by utilizing its most concentrated center of energy, and within the physical organism this center is precisely located at the sex. For this reason, the transmutation of sexual energy is the basis of all physical, psychological and spiritual transformation. This is a tremendous key that lies hidden at the center of every sacred tradition. Within the Bible transmutation is spoken of as the foundation we must place our spiritual temple upon (Matt 7:24). This foundation, the sexual energy, is the same as the cornerstone of the temple, the rock of offense and the stone of stumbling (1 Peter...

Here the New Testament records the very first miracle performed by Jesus: at a wedding between a man and a woman. Clearly, this emphasizes that marriage is the beginning of the real Christian teaching. John 2 1 And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there: 2 And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage. 3 And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine. 4 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come. 5 His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it. 6...

John 3 1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: 2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. 3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water [sex] and of the [Holy] Spirit, he...

Editor's Note: The following is excerpted from the instructions given by Moses to initiates of his tradition, upon which are based Judaism and Christianity. Careful examination of the translation made of the Hebrew text into Latin reveals many interesting details long since forgotten by the established religions. We provide for your consideration a translation made from Hebrew, and then the Latin / English. It is important to note that most modern religious groups disregard these passages and claim a variety of justifications for their point of view. Christians in particular often claim that Jesus brought a new covenant, yet they ignore his words about his teachings: "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be...

Bhishma said, 'I shall now tell thee what the means are (for conquering the senses) as seen with the eye of the scriptures. A person, O king, will attain to the highest end by the help of such knowledge and by framing his conduct accordingly. Amongst all living creatures man is said to be the foremost. Among men, those that are regenerate have been called the foremost; and amongst the regenerate, they that are conversant with the Vedas [scriptures]. These last are regarded as the souls of all living creatures. Indeed, those Brahmanas that are conversant with the Vedas are...

Matrimony: from Latin matrem (nom. mater) "mother" + -monium, suffix signifying "action, state, condition."Thus matrimony means "a state or condition from which the Divine Mother can act."  Compare with the mystical Hebrew book of Kabbalah, The Zohar: The verse, "And Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah's tent" [Genesis 24:67], our masters have interpreted to mean that the Divine Presence came into Isaac's house along with Rebecca. According to the secret doctrine, the supernal Mother is together with the male only when the house is in readiness and at the time the male and female are conjoined. At such time blessings are showered forth by the supernal Mother upon them. - Zohar, Genesis 101b The word matrimony can be analyzed in this way: MA = Latin...

Throughout the long history of the teachings concerned with sexuality and religion, there has been a need to preserve the knowledge in a sacred trust in order to protect its sanctity and purity. This is the basis of the venerable tradition of master and disciple, guru and student. Unfortunately, there have been instances where individuals have utilized the sacred knowledge to feed their lust by seducing disciples or creating dens of vice. In modern times this mentality has become widespread. It is easy to find schools of "tantra" or sacred sexuality that are merely swingers clubs or orgies. Let it be clear in your mind, friend, that these sad spectacles...

We understand people of normal sexuality to be those who have no sexual conflicts of any kind. Sexual energy is divided into three distinct types. First: the energy having to do with the reproduction of the race and the health of the physical body in general. Second: the energy having to do with the spheres of thought, feeling and will. Third: the energy that is found related with the Divine Spirit of man. Indeed, sexual energy is without a doubt the most subtle and powerful energy normally produced and transported through the human organism. Everything that a human being is, including the three spheres of thought, feeling and will, is none other than the exact outcome of distinct modifications of sexual energy. The control and storage of sexual energy is certainly difficult due to the tremendously subtle and powerful Nature of this energy. In addition, its presence represents a source of immense power that can result in a true catastrophe if one does not know how to handle...

Magic, according to Novalis, is the art of influencing the inner world consciously. It is written with fiery coals in the extraordinary book of life that the ardent love between man and woman works magically. Hermes Trismegistus, the thrice-great God Ibis of Thoth, said in his Emerald Tablet: “I give thee love, within which the whole summum of wisdom is contained.” All of us possess some electrical and magnetic forces within, and, just like a magnet, we exert a force of attraction and repulsion... Between lovers that magnetic force is particularly powerful and its action has a far-reaching effect. Sexual Magic (the Sahaja Maithuna) between husband and wife is based on the polar properties which certainly have their potential element in sex. Neither hormones nor patented vitamins are what we need for life, but rather authentic knowledge of YOU and...

It is commonly known among atheles and martial artists that avoiding sex before a competition or event is a vital contributor towards success, since the expelling of the sexual energy results in a depletion of strength, fortitude, and concentration. This naturally raises the question, "If I never expell the semen, will my strength and stamina grow even more?" In non-western medical traditions such as Ayurveda, Chinese or Tibetan medicine, it is widely known that retention of semen is a source of health, strength, vitality, and general well-being. The drain of energy that is felt after orgasm has a solid scientific basis. Moreover, the easily observable effect of the woman absorbing semen, becoming lively, energetic and happy, is evidence of the energy transmitted. The semen is a viscid albuminous fluid, alkaline in...

The most devitalising and demoralizing of pleasures is the sex pleasure. Sensual enjoyment is attended with various defects. It is attended with various sorts of sins, pains, weaknesses, attachments, slave mentality, weak will, severe exertion and struggle, craving and mental restlessness. Worldly persons never come to their proper senses although they get severe knocks, kicks and blows from different corners. The strolling street dog never stops from visiting the houses even though it is pelted with stones every time. Eminent doctors of the West say that various kinds of diseases arise from the loss of semen, particularly in young age. There appear boils on the body, acne or eruptions on the face, blue lines around the eyes, absence of beard, sunken eyes, pale face with anaemia, loss of memory, loss of eye-sight, shortsightedness, discharge of semen along with urine, enlargement of the...

Question: Observance of Brahmacharya [restraint and transformation of sexual energy] would appear to be meaningless, because scientists, through laboratory tests, have proved that semen cannot be reabsorbed into the system and that the brain has nothing to do with semen. Swami Sivananda: Semen is a mysterious secretion that is able to create a living body. Semen itself is living substance. It is life itself. Therefore, when it leaves man, it takes a portion of his own life. A living thing cannot be put to laboratory tests, without first killing it. The scientist has no apparatus to test it. God has provided the only test to prove its precious nature, viz., the womb. The very fact that semen is able to create life is proof enough that it is...

There is a great illusion in front of man. It troubles him in the form of woman. There is a great illusion in front of woman. It troubles her in the form of man. Go wherever you like—Amsterdam, London or New York. Analyze this world of phenomenal experience. You will find only two things — sex and ego. The sex instinct is the greatest urge in human life. Sex energy or lust is the most deep-rooted instinct in man. Sex energy entirely fills the mind, intellect, Prana [life force], senses and the whole body. It is the oldest of the factors that have gone into the constitution of the human being. A man has a thousand and one desires. But the central strong desire is the sexual desire. The fundamental desire is the urge for a mate. All hang on this central basic desire. The desire for money, the desire for a son, the desire for property, the desire for houses, the desire for...

Purify your heart, clean your thoughts, curtail your appetite and conserve the semen. If thoughts are durable, so too will be the semen; if the semen is durable, so also will be the power; if the power is lasting, the Spirit will be as well. The power of the kidneys is located under the symbol of Water. When the impulses are roused, it flows downwards, goes outward, and produces offspring. When it is directed back by the power of thought, filtering upward to the crucible of the creator, it refreshes and nourishes heart and body, it is the reflux method. - Secret of the Golden Flower

In the most sacred and protected heart of the Temple of Solomon was placed the Ark of the Covenent, whose imagery may surprise you. Cherubim is a plural Hebrew word with layers of meaning. In general it refers to highly awakened deities or angels. The importance of the Ark cannot be overemphasized; see here how it was commanded of Moshe (Moses). And HaShem spoke unto Moses, saying: 'Speak unto the children of Israel, that they take for Me an offering; of every man whose heart maketh him willing ye shall take My offering... And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them...

Transmutation is a transformation of energies, and specifically this refers to the transformation of the sexual energy. The base sexual energy exists within the hormonal secretions of the endocrine system, as well within sperm and semen.  In esotericism, semen refers to the sexual secretions of both man and woman, and is also referred to as the Ens Seminis. This Ens Seminis can be transformed into an extremely vivifying energy that is literally the cornerstone of the great work of self-realization. All the effects of sexual transmutation culminate into a type of spiritual stimulation that can produce true, fundamental, psychological change. Samael Aun Weor often speaks of psychological revolutions. A revolution only occurs by destroying the decaying norms of the past while simultaneously forming a new creation. In Hinduism, the divine couple of...

Quite simply, very few doctors and priests know anything about transmutation, thus they reject what they do not know. This fact reinforced by abundant evidence that forceful repression of the sexual energy (in so-called abstinence or "celibacy" as practiced by priests, nuns, and monks) is very destructive and results in massive psychological damage expressed through sexual abuse of one's self or others. In fact, doctors and priests have advocated and defended the orgasm because 1) they do not know anything else, and 2) they enjoy it, and have no interest in changing. What is most disappointing is when they claim that retention of sexual energy is dangerous or harmful. Upon what evidence they state such things is unknown, since they have no experience or scientific studies to support their views. They would be well-advised to study the
